I have recently joined Zoom as a Realtime DevOps Engineer. The process took a while (Around 2 months) but it has been an amazing experience to finally join here.
I got a bunch of onboarding items and my laptop, delivered on time before my joining.

These are the items I have got –
Apple 16-inch MacBook Pro M3 Pro
- M3 CPU (I am going to forget about opensource virtualization)
- 36 GB Memory
- 512 GB SSD
- 16 Inch display
It is overall heavy compared to my last M2 14 inch laptop, but the screen size is good for not always relying on the external monitors.

UltraSharp U2723QE External Monitor
- 27 inch feels good with 4k resolution
- I already have a 24 inch Ultrasharp and I had trouble chaining the monitors, but finally settled with 2 usb-c output to my laptop, where one usb-c from this monitor also provides laptop power
- All my keyboards, monitor, and webcam are attached to the Dock at the back of this monitor.
- It has the back/forward buttons which helps in navigating code at ease.
- The scroll wheel can spin continuously if you scroll and take off your hand. So no more Shift + G … I am just kidding.

- It is honestly a downgrade comparing my previous mechanical keyboard. But I am getting used to it.
- Both the mouse and keyboard has a switch, using which I can switch to other computers which is handy.
Logitech Zone Vibe 100 Headphone
- It is lightweight and has good noise cancellation
- Has hardware mute and other media control switches

Logitech Brio UltraHD Pro Business Webcam

- The clarity is amazing
- It also has a mic but I am never going to use that for calls
- They also gave a lot of accessories like a studio stand and a flip cover for closing the camera.
